Child Rape and Murder Case in Lampung: Perpetrator Still at Large
Casal dels Infants – A rape case involving a 10-year-old girl, identified by the initials RAZ, has shocked the residents of Tulang Bawang, Lampung. Residents found the victim dead in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025. They discovered her body naked and with foam around her mouth in room number 37 of a barrack owned by PT Indolampung. The barrack was located only about 10 meters from the house where the victim lived with her parents.
The discovery of the victim’s body shocked nearby residents. Based on the initial examination at the crime scene, police found several bruises on the victim’s body, especially around the neck and genital area. These findings strengthened the suspicion that the incident was a rape case, and that the victim had been sexually assaulted before being murdered.
Tulang Bawang Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner Juliansyah, stated that the police have identified the suspect. He emphasized that officers are still searching for the perpetrator, who remains at large.

“We have made maximum efforts, and our officers are still in the field. “However, our team has not yet located the suspect,” said Juliansyah during a press conference on Friday, July 18, 2025, after visiting the victim’s home.
The police chief appealed to the public who may have information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts to report it to the Tulang Bawang Police. He stressed that public participation is essential in uncovering this heinous crime.
“We are committed to the victim’s family to reveal the cruel act committed by the suspect. Justice must be upheld,” he said.
Investigators conducted a crime scene investigation and an initial forensic examination. They suspect that the perpetrator poisoned the victim after sexually assaulting her. The suspect committed the assault and then deliberately took the victim’s life. The condition of the body, with multiple bruises and foam around the mouth, supports this conclusion.
The case has attracted public attention and raised concerns in the community, especially among parents. The safety of children in residential or industrial areas has once again come under scrutiny.
