Trump-Elon Musk Reunion at Charlie Kirk Memorial Marks First Public Interaction After Months of Feuding
Casal dels Infants – United States President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk were finally seen together in public again recently. They appeared to have a relaxed conversation for the first time after months of exchanging barbs on social media. Cameras captured their moment together during the Charlie Kirk memorial service on Sunday (September 21) in Glendale, Arizona.
Top Republican politicians attended the memorial at State Farm Stadium, and thousands of people filled the venue to honor Kirk, who was fatally shot on September 10, 2025. The emotionally charged atmosphere set the stage for the public reunion between Trump-Elon Musk, who had previously appeared tense online.

Before Trump took the stage, Musk approached him and sat in the empty seat next to him. The two shook hands and chatted casually, like old friends reuniting. Musk later shared a photo of the moment on his personal X account with the caption “For Charlie”. The official White House X account also posted images of their interaction, which Musk retweeted.
This was their first public encounter since June 2025. They clashed on social media at that time over Trump’s proposed spending and tax plans. Musk criticized the One Big Beautiful Bill, claiming it would increase U.S. debt and eliminate tax incentives for electric vehicles and solar energy modules sold by Tesla. He also referenced Trump’s involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein case. He threatened to withhold crucial SpaceX rockets needed by the federal government.
Trump responded by threatening to investigate subsidies received by Musk’s companies through the Government Efficiency Office (DOGE). Over time, tensions between Trump and Musk eased. However, Trump emphasized that his relationship with Musk remained over and that he had no plans to communicate further in the near future.
Earlier, Charlie Kirk expressed his belief that Trump and Musk would eventually reunite. He believed their collaboration could be far stronger and more impactful together. The reunion at the memorial seemed to reflect Kirk’s vision. It showed how tragedy can serve as a moment for reconciliation and a way to honor both his political and personal legacy.
