Casal dels Infants – Purworejo Regency is celebrating its 194th Anniversary with a series of exciting events, one of which is the Purworejo Expo 2025. The event, held at the Pendopo of Purworejo Regency and Jalan RAA Tjokronegoro, features 133 booths showcasing products from various sectors including UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), creative economy, trade, education, tourism, and health.
The Purworejo Expo 2025 was officially opened by Purworejo Regent, Hj. Yuli Hastuti, S.H. This annual event has captured the attention of both the local community and visitors from Central Java. During her visit to the exhibition booths, the Regent and the Head of the Education Office were impressed. They were particularly taken by the educational space provided by the Directorate of Early Childhood Education (PAUD). This space featured a Reading Corner, PAUDPEDIA multimedia room, and storytelling activities.

The PAUDPEDIA team, who managed the educational booth, also campaigned for the “7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children Movement,” introduced Indonesian Children’s Exercise, and emphasized the importance of early childhood literacy through storytelling.
Purworejo Expo 2025 aims to stimulate local economic growth and support the recovery of various sectors, including micro, small, and medium enterprises, creative economy, tourism, investment, industry, and trade. The event runs from February 12 to 16, 2025, at the Pendopo and Art Center grounds.
The Purworejo Regency Government has partnered with several central government institutions, including the Ministry of Education and Culture, through the Directorate General of Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary Education.
The Purworejo Regent expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders who have contributed to the success of the event. “Purworejo Expo 2025 is expected to promote local products and serve as a platform for education and recreation for the community,” said Yuli Hastuti.
She also explained that the Expo aims to introduce the region’s potential in various sectors, open up broader market access for creative economy actors and UMKM, and promote tourism in Purworejo. The event also serves as a publication tool for local government development initiatives. Furthermore, it strengthens collaboration between the government, business sector, and community elements in advancing Purworejo.
In collaboration with the Directorate General of Early Childhood Education, the event provided a valuable educational experience for young visitors. The booth featured a variety of books for children and hosted interactive storytelling sessions. Children enthusiastically listened to the story of “Bekal Favorit Cici,” shared by Kak Dandy from TK Mutiara Ibu. The story taught them the importance of healthy and nutritious food.
The event’s atmosphere became even more engaging as children participated in fun games with prizes. The educational sessions concluded with the Indonesian Children’s Exercise on Saturday, February 15, 2025. This group activity emphasized the importance of building a healthy, strong character for Indonesia’s future generation.
